Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 1

    After the success of the hit horror/comedy starring Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry screenwriter and series creator Joss Whedon developed his vampire slayer for television with this 12 episode first season that showcases very talented young actors and some terrific storytelling.  As Buffy attempts to get used to her new life in Sunnydale she is immediately challenged by the rise of an age old vampire known as the Master.  With the knowledge of the Master's pending arise Buffy sets out to stop a prophecy in which she is said to die at the Master's hands.  A fairly decent start to the series that only lacks in the villain department as the Master is all talk and no action.  Solid character development really sets up the 2nd season where the action is much better and the villains are far superior.  Watch and enjoy as Buffy and the gang begin what would go on to be a 7 year reign as one of the best sci-fi/horror shows of all time.
